If you are like us, you may have thought what it would be like to spend your holidays on the road. We love our RVs and are occasionally tempted to turn RVing into a full-time lifestyle. If you are thinking about making this step or trying a holiday on the road, there are a few tips that we have come up with that might help you in your holiday.

Pack accordingly – pretty simple, right? But you’d be surprised how many people forget to bring the warmer clothes for colder nights or the right kinds of cups and bowls for hot drinks and foods. Summer camping is a lot different than Winter camping, so make sure you have the right gear.

Get the right foods – You may not be able to cook that famous seven-layer potato casserole when you are on the road simply because you may not have the space. When you are spending holidays on the road, make sure you have thought about the dishes you are going to cook and how you are going to cook all of them in the same time frame. Some dishes can be cooked on the fire. Others can be grilled. Make sure you ration your space and bring dishes that are not too overwhelming.

Keep it simple – Don’t worry about fancy centerpieces or large, elaborate place settings. You are having your holiday on the road to enjoy the great outdoors and the company of your family and friends, so keep these things simple and you will find it to be a much more enjoyable and memorable affair.

Have fun – Of course! Holidays can be stressful, but the important thing to remember is just to have fun with it. Keep your spirits high and don’t sweat the small stuff. Just sit back and enjoy the exciting adventure that is Thanksgiving on the road.
