Boiling Springs State Park: An Oasis in Oklahoma

If you're looking to get away from the ordinary and explore the extraordinary, look no further than Boiling Springs State Park. Located in Woodward, Oklahoma, this state park is one of the first seven state parks established in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Named after the natural boiling spring that still flows through it, you'll find an abundance of fun activities and gorgeous sites that will make you feel right at home.

This 840 acre park boasts 40 RV sites and 12 tent camping sites. There are also 4 cabins available. All cabins have one bedroom with a pillowtop queen sized mattress and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. They're totally equipped with linens and anything you might needs to live in the cabin.

While relaxing in the great outdoors you'll see whitetail deer, wild turkeys, raccoon, coyotes, bobcats, beavers, badgers, and a slew of other awesome animals.

One of the most exciting ways to explore the park is by foot. Many of its five hiking and mountain trails are perfectly acceptable for beginners to try. One of the most popular trails is the River Nature Trail, which runs along the banks of the North Canadian River up to the Boiling Springs Well.

Birding is another favorite past time of visitors. With over 200 species of birds to be found throughout the state, bring your binoculars and get ready to view some incredible sites. Birding is not only a great way to connect with nature, it's educational and truly teaches children and adults alike to enjoy all that nature has to offer.

before you head in to your cabin or RV for the night grab your fishing pole and hit the river, where you're likely to find a ton of bass, crappie and catfish. After a day of fishing you might just catch enough fish for all three meals!
